Lani Baron

Lani Baron, Attorney-Mediator, is the founder of Alternative Divorce Solutions. As a child, Lani witnessed her parents’ highly-litigated and contentious divorce and she knew that there needed to be a change in the system. This life experience inspired Lani to begin her career in alternative dispute resolution early on, and she started her career as a paralegal at a small family mediation firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Shortly thereafter, Lani moved to California to study at Pepperdine’s Straus Institute, where she focused on courses relating to dispute resolution and mediation. Her passion for helping others also prompted her desire to excel in her legal education, and she graduated from Whittier Law School in the top 4% of her class. Immediately after graduating law school, Lani took on the role of owner and head attorney-mediator at Center for Mediated Divorce. There, she assisted hundreds of couples in settling their divorces peacefully. Ultimately seeking to improve the services she was providing her clients, Lani opened Alternative Divorce Solutions, which offers mediated divorce, uncontested dissolution, team mediation, and mediation training. Lani has been the recipient of several awards, including being named as an honoree in Riviera Magazine’s Dynamic Women and Power Players editions in 2013. In addition, Lani was nominated for the prestigious OC Business Journal Awards for Women in Business and Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014. Most recently, Lani was named one of OC Metro Magazine’s Top 100 Attorneys in Orange County, CA for 2014.
